Parochial Church Council & District Church Council

The Abbey & St Peters are part of the West Sheppey Benefice which consists of the churches of Queenborough, Sheerness, St Peters and Minster Abbey. These four churches come under one joint  PCC. Each individual church has a smaller DCC which is responsible for the maintenance of their church.

The PCC & DCCs should not be confused with the Minster on Sea Parish Council which is a statutory elected body, although there are occasions when the PCC, DCCs and Parish Council work together.

Church Visits
To arrange guided visits please contact Alison Parr on 875835 or the Parish Office as above.

The parish endeavours to keep the Abbey open from about 10am to 5pm all year, and to have people present in afternoons during the Summer but this cannot be guaranteed. If you are travelling far to specifically visit the Abbey or have a large party it is advisable to phone first.
